Great news! I have just been approved as a certified Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy! This is a credential which takes a significant amount (2-3 years worth) of graduate-level training and supervision, following a Masters Degree, specifically focused in working with children and utilizing play therapy modalities. For more information, see the link below.
A registered play therapist is a mental health professional with training and experience working with children and families through the use of play therapy. An RPT has met specific criteria and is registered through the Association for Play Therapy.
Congratulations! You are very qualified to work with youngsters in so many ways.
